The words we use

The Vibotype glossary

Four dials and one model. Every word Vibotype puts on your map is defined here, in the same plain register the map itself uses.

Accelerator

The accelerator is the start side of desire. A quick accelerator catches on a look. A slow one asks for real attention and unhurried time. The quiz reads yours from how you answer about ordinary moments, then places it on your map.

Brakes

The brakes are everything that can end a night early. Stress, an unlocked door, a stray worry, feeling watched. Strong brakes are not low desire. They are a separate dial, and plenty of people run both strong.

Tempo

Tempo is order, not speed. Some people's desire arrives before anything happens. Some people's builds once things start. Both are common and neither is a problem, but a couple keeping different clocks will misread each other until someone says so.

Senses

Senses is which channels carry the most signal for you. Touch, what you see, what you hear. The quiz reads which ones run strongest, and the map says it plainly, without pretending everyone has a dramatic lean.

The Dual Control Model

The science under the map. Researchers Erick Janssen and John Bancroft at the Kinsey Institute showed that sexual response runs on two separate systems, excitation and inhibition, a gas and a brake that vary independently from person to person. Vibotype measures both, which is where the four types come from.
